I have to take a break from my musings as a mother of preschoolers and talk about last night. Wow! What an amazing game! We are a HUGE football family...to the point that when Daniel and Zachary see a football in a picture, magazine, tv they go running to Sean and say "daddy...football!" It warms Sean's heart. Because of where we live there is a CERTAIN football team that we root for...it can only be the blue and silver! Yes...the Dallas Cowboys! My Cowboys roots go so deep that my grandmother has a Dallas Cowboy ornament on her Christmas tree. We watch every game. The shock and awe that hit our home the night the Cowboys lost to the Giants was big. It wasn't supposed to end like it did. We were supposed to be in the Super Bowl.
Consequently, the discussion over the weekend was, "who are we going to cheer for?" The dilemma of supporting the team that knocked us out of the Super Bowl or the team that had a perfect season and was from other conference. What to do?! I decided to support the commercials! Let's be serious...that's really the only reason to watch the Super Bowl. Well, by the time the boys were in bed, I really only got to watch the end of the 3rd quarter and the 4th quarter. If you didn't see the game then you missed out. By the last 2 minutes of the game we were cheering Eli Manning on and hoping for a Giants win! It was amazing!
Don't get me wrong though...by the time August gets here and the new season starts we'll be back with our boys in blue! Go Cowboys!

Salt in the wound. sigh... Although going to the Super Bowl is started to get pretty regular up for us New England fans.
