"She's my only best friend"

That title is a direct quote from Zachary when the topic of his friend "S" came up in conversation yesterday. I wish I had a camera ready to capture the look on his face when I told him that he was going to play with her yesterday morning. Priceless. I had talked to her mom earlier in the week and she commented how much "S" was missing Zachary. They were so used to seeing each other almost everyday at school. They have both had to figure out and understand what it means to be "on summer vacation". We both agreed that is was time to get these two kids together for a play date.

So, yesterday morning we met up with "S" and her mom at the mall playground. When Zachary and "S" saw each other they both just hugged each other. Again...no camera. Ugh. They played for a good 30 minutes before we decided that the mall was getting too crowded. We got the kids rounded up and headed to the nearest Chick-fil-A. Who can resist a great chicken sandwich and an enclosed, soundproof playground!?! :) They ate and played for another 30 minutes. When it was time to go, they gave hugs again and talked about seeing each other when school starts. (Which actually happens in less than a month but that's for a different post!)
