I am so excited I can hardly stand it! Spring Break is here!!! Any teacher will tell you that the days between Christmas break and Spring Break are SOOO long. The days are dark and gray as we plug along through winter. There are more days of having no recess due to cold and rain than there are with recess. The students develop cabin fever so bad that we are all about to go crazy. However...there is hope just over the horizon. Today at 2:45 pm, the bell will ring and everyone will leave for a much deserved break. The temperatures are rising, flowers are blooming and the birds are sining! Spring is coming!
So...here's to sleeping past 5:45 am, cuddling up with my boys in the morning, walking to the park and talking about all the sights and sounds, going to the zoo for the first time as a family, dying Easter eggs, playing with Nana and Pawpaw, going on a date with my honey, late night movies after the boys are asleep, new outfits for Easter and going to church to celebrate the Ressurection of our Lord!
Three cheers for Spring!

Yeah for spring break! Here in RI you would get a week in February. All the federal holidays. Good Friday. Passover (and other Jewish holidays) and a week for spring break in April. Not to mention all the snow days. 'Course you'd have to go to school until the last week of June to "pay" for them. = )
