"You want 9 in the picture!?"

So the $100 question is this...how does someone get a 4, 2 1/2, 2 year old and 22 month old to smile at the same time and stay where they are put for that smile? Yesterday was the first trip to JCPenney for a group picture of all the grandkids. My mom (Nana) wanted a nice picture of everyone. So, after naps (thank goodness everyone took a good nap!) we changed clothes and headed to the mall. Of course the two moms (my sister and I) had coordinated everyone's outfits and we were looking pretty cute...if I say so myself! The boys had on matching red and blue shirts and the s had matching white shirts. The parents were in red, white and blue as well. We took a Nicholson family picture and then a Sanderfer family picture. (my sister's family) Then it was time for the kids to get together. Kamryn (the 2 yr old) had just about reached her limit by this point and we weren't even close to be finished. The bribery started! We were able to get 2 cute pictures of all 4 kids.

Everything stopped when my brother walked in the studio. The only picture we had left was the big group picture with all 9 kids. The minute "Uncle Tuck" walked in the door it was over for the kids. Everyone in the room was staring at him. The funny thing was, he is worthy of starring at right now...he's completely bald!! You might ask why John is completely bald. For anyone who knows John, he is pretty particular about his hair. The men in the Seaberry family are not known for holding on to their hair much past 30, so John is pretty particular with his. So, why on earth would he shave it off!? He didn't shave it off voluntarily...he is the new rookie at his fire station. According to him, during his Friday night shift at the station, 7 of the firemen tackled him and held him down and shaved his head. He called me to tell me about this incident before coming to the studio and I thought he was joking. No way! His head is slick!

So, when my mom looks at her big family picture with all her kids...she have a constant reminder that her son is a fireman and went through is rookie year with flying colors and a great deal of humility!

That's pretty funny about the shaved head...your mom probably didn't think it was funny though.

I love the pic of "Daddy and the boys". Cute cute.

We tried a similar family picture on Joel's side a couple of years ago. We barely all fit in their little frame - and 2 children have been added to the family since then! At the time it was 6 adults, my 2 year old & 6 month old, and s.i.l.'s twin 8 month olds. THAT was fun, NOT!
