The Jesus Book by Stephen Elkins
At first glance, The Jesus Book by Stephen Elkins book may seem like another watered down version of Bible stories. After reading the first page, I quickly realized that it is nothing of the sort. This children's book is a wonderful collection of stories and explanations of the life of Jesus Christ. The book is divided up into five sections that help the reader explore the “who, what, when, where and why of Christ ministry”. I was very pleased to see that the theology is sound yet written in a way that is easy to follow and understand. This book provides parents a wonderful resource for introducing the life of Christ to children of all ages. The illustrations are bright and colorful and do a wonderful job supporting the message. Another feature that is very helpful is the Scripture references that are provided for each story. My family enjoyed reading the Scripture passages and then the explanation in the book. This book has become a family favorite.
