Daniel,
I can't believe that you turned 4 today. It seems like it was only last month when we were celebrating your first birthday. Even then you were this sweet, little boy who knew how to grab life and hold on. Over the past year, your daddy and I have watched you transform before our very eyes.
You have had many physical milestones. You've been potty trained, learned to ride a bike (with the training wheels), grown about 4 inches and developed a taste for so many new foods. We watched you turn into a very sweet and sensitive young boy who also knows how to rough and tumble with the best of them. :) You have discovered your voice (ha!) and you aren't afraid to use it. The sound that comes out more than anything is laughter. You love life. You are happiest when you are with your family and we're just being silly.
With all the changes this past year, your daddy and I can't help but be excited about the future. We can see great things in your future. You have a mind that thinks in amazing ways. We are constantly amazed at the connections you make. We can see your heart becoming sensitive to the moving of the Holy Spirit and it makes your daddy and I so happy. You are never afraid to ask us the tough questions about your Heavenly Father. It is our prayer that you never loose that sense and wonder of questioning.
So, sweet Daniel, as you are falling asleep tonight our prayer for you is that this next year be one of great growth and learning. Not just learning your letters and numbers but growing and learning in the Lord. We pray that you will begin to know Him and sense His presence. We are praying that very soon you will ask Jesus to be your personal Savior. We can't wait to see the young boy that you will become. It is our greatest joy and privilege being your mommy and daddy. We are so proud of you!
With all our love,
Mommy and Daddy
